Hi, My family was from this area of Dunbartonshire (New Kilpartick). I think they arrived sometime between 1845-55. They too were from Ireland. The men in the family worked in the coal mines and the women in a paper mill. I have never been able to discover where in Ireland they originated from. Has anyone else with Irish ancestors in this area figured out where in Irleand their ancestors came from? I could use some advice. The family's name was Potts/ Lynas Thanks Sarah Brown Robert Kuzyk wrote: > Dear list, > From my notes, Maureen Kuzyk, > ------------------------------------------------- > > 1851 census East (New) Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire? or > Stirlingshire? film # 103670 > > This film supposedly contains some of the Dunbartonshire census. > For New Kilpatrick, it starts labelled, East Kilpatrick, Stirling, > Parish 500 and in other places, Parish 361.
