Hi Dunbartonshire Members, Just signed up this week.. My interests are in STEWART Andrew STEWART m Mary CUNNINGHAM in Clydebank 1895. My father David, born 1900 98 Kilbowie Rd, Clydebank (immigrated to Canada 1912) My aunt Margaret, born 1897,2 Binnie? Place Clydebank My maternal great grandparents Robert CUNNINGHAM and Margaret (nee Nimmo) on 1891 census at 4 Singer Terrace , Clydebank. The men of the family were all machinists, believed to have working in ships engines. The STEWART family were from Perthshire, Crieff/Auchterauder, Perth The CUNNINGHAM family were from Stirlingshire, Falkirk, Bonnybridge etc. 4 Questions: What shipbuilding company would they likely have worked for? Were there train engine building companies in the area? In Greenock, was there ever a pub called Town Hall saloon? Would 29 Cathcart St. be its location? (believed owner 1895-1910 abt. Mary STEWART married to a RALSTON) Does Renfrew have a Rootsweb site? Thanks for any advice or connections Gloria Beek nee Stewart
