    3. Hi, I have sent you the 1881 census which says he was born in Ireland. It will be easier getting the marriage certificates on: www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk It will only cost you £6 and you only need to enter Henry Morgan and the date of marriage. You will probably not get the 1845 one as I guess it was an RC marriage. That may be found at the local RC church or at the Scottish Catholic Archives in Edinburgh. The registrars will charge a lot more to supply the other 2. With the remaining money you can look up the other census or birth certificates of some of the children. Jay

    3. Reference to 1845 - You wont get any official records in Scotland's People before 1855 because that is the date when formal registration was required, unlike for England & Wales in 1837. Its worth while however searching for death records for those born before and who might have been expected to have died on or after 1855.
