The home consisted of two houses. Initially I stayed in the top house which was a colossal former mansion but for most of the period of my first stay and for all of the second time I was ther, I resided in the bottom house that was known as Edy Arrow, mamed, I think, after a girl or lady who stayed ther when the place was a private house. You don't mention whether you ever resided or worked at Blairvadach and I wouldn't know that, if you had lived or worked there, you would have known the staff member Charlotte McDonald from the isle of Skye or Norman Robertson the gardener. They were at Blairvadach during both of the periods when I was there and I understand that they were there for several years before I was there. Blairvadach home was arranged into different groups that were named after Scottish islands. When I firs went there the top house had Lewis, Skye, Tiree and Jury groups and later also Islay group for teenagers and the bottom house had Arran, Coll and Mull Groups. Near the end of 1977, the bottom house was to be entirely for teenagers with no groups. I'll give more information in another message.
