Susan Bonhill is an area of the town of Dumbarton (technically a neighbouring village, but these days part of Dumbarton itself). Cumbernauld is about 30 miles away as the crow flies, so not unreasonable that people might not have moved from one to the other, but fairly unlikely as Cumbernauld is a new town, and until the mid twentieth century didn't really have much of a population.
