Hi Listers: I wish to trace my Barrie ancestry. In 1853, a Barrie family (all or part) of brothers Samuel and John, and a half sister Mary Barrie came to Lower Canada (now Quebec, Canada). Their father was John Barrie. Mary's mother was Mary Warden. Mary was either 5 or 11 when she came to Lower Canada. Mary married a Pete Devine and lived in the US (died in 1936 in Chicago). Samuel was born December 10, 1828 and died in 1904. Samuel married a Jean/Jane Warden from Lower Canada and raised a family in the Huntingdon area. Samuel's obit stated he was a native of Dunbartonshire, Scotland. John also married and raised a family in the Huntingdon area of Quebec. Besides the family history I would also like to establish contact with existing relatives. Thank you, Verlan Shorey
