Hi Janet Thanks for your reply,I should have mentioned that I was looking for descendants in the area,or links to siblings etc. They had 7 children born in the Cardross area. I already have Dugalds CAMPBELL, McCOLL and BLACK ancestors back to 1745 on the Isle of Lismore. My McCOLLS and McKAYS were in Mull around 1775. My gr.gr.grandmother,Mary CAMPBELL b.1805 on Lismore, married John McCOLL b.1806 on Mull. Dugalds brother Malcolm CAMPBELL ended up in Huron County in Ontario. You were correct about the origins of the names ! Thanks Frank McGonigal Ont.Canada. ~~~~~~~ >From: "Janet" <[email protected]> >To: [email protected] >Subject: Re: [DUNB] DUGALD CAMPBELL >Date: Mon, 1 May 2006 21:18:58 +0100 > >For the name CAMPBELL you would be well advised to look into Argyllshire, >Mull even. > >Janet >
