Their daughter Jessie married James GARDNER (a master joiner). She died in Airdrie on 26 May 1881 (63 years old). One of her daughters namely Marion Laidlaw (my ggrandmother) married Alexander THOMSON in Chapelhall. I am wondering if Jessie is Robert's sister.
