My second family I am searching for is STODDART. Robert STODDART and Elizabeth PATERSON married in 27 July 1795 in MidLothian had one child James 1796, Temple Midlothian, the rest of their children were born in Gargunnock, Sterlingshire. These children were, George 1801, Henry 1803, Ann 1805, Ann 1807, Janet 1809, Grizel 1811 (I believe known as Grace), Walter 1814, Maria 1816 and Robert 1821. This family disappeared from Gargunnock, but I found Henry in the 1881 Census in Dunbarton, Dunbartonshire. This made sense, and I have begun tracing the family back through the census. What I do know is that Henry who was a farmer married first Jean BERRY 31 August, Renfrew, Renfrew and secondly, Jean/Jane Young 26 February 1836 in Renfrew, Renfrew. Henry and the second Jean had three children that I have found on the IGI Agnes born 1836, Robert b. 1838 and John Dixon born 21 October 1842 all in Cardross, Dunbarton. Grace married John Miller CUMMING 20 December 1839 in Airth, Sterlingshire. Where their seven children were born. After the death of John, Grace moved to Glasgow with her children, first living with brother Walter and family. Walter married Margaret BABTIE 3 December 1849 in Dunbarton, and they moved to Glasgow where Walter was a coal merchant. Four daughters all born in Glasgow.
