    3. Greetings, Might anyone know anything about this location? My greataunt kept a diary in 1884 while visiting cousins in America and on 6 March 1884 wrote that she had received word from home (Pollokshaws, Eastwood, RFW) about the death of a dear friend June McOWAL. Several days later she wrote a letter to a Johanna McOWAL, presumably a letter of sympathy. The diary read that the death occurred at "Rowan Tree Bank Alexandria" and I checked maps to find Alexandria is in Bonhill parish. The current Glasgow street atlas doesn't show that street as still in existance, but there are others in the West of Scotland general area called Rowantree Road, etc. So I'm assuming that Rowantree Bank was right next to the river in the center of Alexandria - possibly where "Bank Street" is now. If I can confirm the location, I will ask my researcher to pull the death certificate data for me as I believe Kate might have been referring to a cousin actually spelled McHOUL, or McHOWL. Can anyone help with either the street location or the family name? Thanks for any assistance! Tim Millar Cape Cod, Mass. MILLAR - RFW CRAIG - AYR, RFW RANKIN - AYR
