I don't see a connection between the posted family and my own ancestors; however it seems likely that they would be. I tend to be very cautious with links before what can be shown by civil registration and census'. However the marriage of my ancestor Katherine BAIN in 1799 to Peter McFARLANE names her father as Robert in Colgrain, Cardross - who can clearly be identified in the OPRs. Thus ending a six generation line of Catherines as maternal ancestors! I was lucky here in that there were dative wills for two sisters as heirs of a brother who had died in Richmond, Virginia. This brother [Robert] does not occur on the OPRs - this is one of the reasons why it's so difficult to make long elaborate trees based only on OPRs which are often incomplete!!
