Thought I would add my little bit re the McFarlane name in Dumbartonshire. Jean Wilson of Easter Blarnearn (spelling?) was married to Peter McFarlane 26 Apr 1785. She later, as a widow, married Joseph McAuslane of Tomavoulin 8 Dec 1795. I think (no proof) that he is my great great grandfather. Their son Patrick married Catherine Ewing of Cardross and they emigrated to Canada.
