Although there are similar dates etc, Es far as I know my James did not marry in Britain, but he had twins to Agnes Taylor, about 1852. In answer to your second Question I would suggest you get in touch with the Public Records Office, at Kew, England, who should be able to put you in touch with a military researcher.
