    3. Dear Ruth I have some Pat(t)erson family from Dumbarton and Renfrew but they only go back to about 1815. I have a John Paterson married to Elizabeth Andrew. They were married in 1834 in High Church Renfrew. Presumably that is where she came from. They moved to Dumbarton and had Robert Patterson in 1842. He married a Mary Cairney in 1869 and had 4 Children, Agnes, Mary, Robert and Maggie. I don't know if this is familiar to you or Eric Regards Stephen Nicoll -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ruth Enns Sent: 11 October 2006 16:31 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [DUNB] New Kilpatrick/old Kilpatrick Do y ou have any records that go as far back as the 1800s in Dunbaton, Dumbarton under the name PATERSON?
