We live in Howell for the last 38 years. Prior to that in Redford Twp. I was born & raised in Detroit, quite different than it is now. My family moved from there 1955 to Livonia, they are all gone now. My mom was from Yoker. Her family also lived in Clydebank where my grandfather & Uncle were finish carpenters on the Queen Mary. Her sister lived in Govan. Other brother was a Piper and lived in Glasgow. His wife is 91 and I still correspond with her although she really doesn't know much of the family history as her husband died at age 49, she never remarried. We used to go south of Lakeland, but saw all and been there and just decided to try staying home, so we sold our place via internet within 2 weeks, sight unseen just by my pictures. We were fortunate, that was 2004. And they were very happy. Hope the fruit isn't damaged to much. Look for Florida navels but they cannot be found up here, only California and we prefer Florida. Just bought some strawberries and they are really beautiful this year, hope the frost doesn't damage them.
