Dear List, My grandmother always told me that her grandmother, Anne BLADES, was born in a castle in Scotland. Indeed censes records bear out that she was born in the Castle farmhouse at New Kilpatrick Parish, Dunbarton in 1827. Death records confirm that her husband, William GRAHAM, died at Castle, New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton in 1869. Ann lived on there after his death and continued to raise her children. Can any one tell me the name of the castle in New Kilpatrick Parish, Dunbarton during this time period? Is it still there? Perhaps there was more than one castle or the city was named Castle. Also thank you for any help you can give on the families of BLADES/GRAHAM above. Susan
