I have the OFFICER name but its largely in Kincardineshire, Angus, Aberdeenshire. We know they moved around and some went to England. Due mainly to this list I have been put in contact with others who were searching the same names and have got it pretty much sewn up, but it occurred to me that I might be able to share information with others. My names there are ROWAT or ROWATT and CHESTER or CHESTERS. I've a GRAHAM at the early generations, STIRLING too. Other names who married into my paternal ancestry are , PARK, DICK, PETTIGREW. Happy New Year fellow Dunbartonshire ancestors: My great grandfather James McKenzie was born in Falkirk around 1814 he married Jean Gray in Cumbernauld, Nov of 1839. His father was also a James, but I don't have his birth date or the name of his wife. I would assume that James was born around 1790 in or around Stirling and married about 1814, not sure though. Grandparents: Robert McKenzie married Grace Smith in 1884, immigrated to the USA-Maine in 1887. My father, Sylvanus Hemingway McKenzie was born in 1899 in St. George Maine.
