I don't have any note of a wife for him. You say you have found two sets of parents - could one of the parents have remarried at some point? I've had a similar problem in my tree and that turned out to be the answer. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My great great grandfather was John Walker born 1810 married to Jean Walker nee Blair. I cannot find any reference to his birth all info to date is taken from census. I have found a John Walker born to Coll and Janet Walker in Luss in 1810 . There is also a death certificate in existence for John Walker a weaver fron Cumbernauld with 2 different parents. Neither of whom I can find as having married each other nor had any children together. Has anyone any definative info? Thanks to everyone who replied to my query about castles in Dunbarton and also Ulster plantations in Ireland. I'm afraid my e-mail went on the blink and I was unable to receive or respond to all of you for several days-very frustrating. Things are going well by now, so I would like to express appreciation for all you help. It was great! Susan
