    1. [DUNB] Archibald McIntyre - Bonhill - 1916
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: helenm118 Surnames: McIntyre, Brawley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.dnb.general/2738/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hoping someone can help me track down an Archibald MCINTYRE, Apprentice Engineer of 139 Main St, Bonhill. On 5 May 1916 the Sheriff awarded a decree of paternity for McIntyre's illegimate child with Mary Ellen BRAWLEY. This child (William Ferguson Brawley) was born on 16 July 1915. Mary Brawley later married someone else, so it's possible that McIntyre was too young to marry or that he went away to fight in WW1 and never came back. The 1901 census provides a couple of potential Archibald McIntyres in the Bonhill area; there's no shortage of Archibald McIntyres who went away to World War 1 and didn't come back. I just can't seem to match any of them up, so I'm hoping that someone has this Archibald McIntyre somewhere in their research and can help me pin him down. Cheers, Helen Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Don Muirhead
    3. Ryall Bush is in Sutherland NZ not Scotland. Ryall/Ryall in Scotland isn't a common place name and they are all farms. One in West Lothian, the other four in Norththumberland. http://geo.nls.uk/os6inch/ I'd post an enquiry on the NZ List, find his marriage and death then work your way back. If you are lucky you might find his immigration/ship he arrived on. Thomas Smellie and spelling variations, birth records in Scotland from 1860-1877 yield a possible 70 hits from all over Scotland. To find out which is yours you will need more information. Cheers!!!
