Hi listers, I've got about 300 bookmarks, and sometimes the "name" on the site does not tell me what's in that site.....so I have a hard time finding what I want, even thought I have them categorized into folders..........so when you click on "Add to favorites......after Name: type in what YOU would call it....a name that makes it easier for you to identify it........I didn't know I could do this until recently and I can sure find what I want a lot easier. Priscilla McKenzie, born Bonhill 1864, daughter of Margaret Harre (d. 1875) and Kenneth McKenzie (d.1870), appears to have been sent in 1875 to New South Wales following her mother's death. She died of consumption in Picton, NSW in 1890. I have ascertained that one of her sisters and her brother were sent to live with relatives in Scotland but have not been able to find out how or with whom Priscilla went to Australia. Any suggestions?? Many thanks. Dominique domnjim@cybernet.co.nz

Researching Daniel DEWAR and wife Mary PATERSON from Culloch. Culloch was found on an old map near Langfaulds and is mentioned in 1790s Statistical Account as a coal and limestone mining area. About 1805, baptisms in families from Culloch cease in parish records. What happened to Culloch? Where did the families go? Were there any newspapers which might have reported a mine disaster/closing c. 1805? Are these newspapers available for review? Thanks. Carol Miles
Hi. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who is living in or near the village of Rhu. If so, I have a couple of questions about the church (kirk) there. I'm trying to determine if it might be the church in which Catherine Campbell and the Rev. Daniel Whyte were married. Is the kirk at Rhu circa 1800? Are there likely to be records from this time period there? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you for taking the time! Amy
For those of you who have NOT tried this MAP site, http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ Type in a town or city in Scotland (not the county name) and click UK place....your place will be marked with a nice big arrow! Give it a try! Barbara Lewis

Hello Friends, I am seeking information of our Grandmother Margaret Clelland Florance. Her parents may have been John and Margaret Clelland. Margaret was born May 10, 1881 in New Kilpatrick. She married Alexander Florance of Achterless, Aberdeen(b.May 27, 1879-1949) in Scotland. Margaret and Alexander migrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and later moved on to Drumheller, Alberta. Both Margaret and Alexander died in Los Angeles, CA. They had one daughter Margaret Clelland Florance Goggin born in Calgary. Alexander served in WWI. The family wore the Stewart dress plaid, but do not know the connection. This is all of the information that I have on the family. Can anyone tell me if New Kilpatrick is an area that a large group of Clellands are found. I would appreciate any suggestions on the next step in research I should follow. Hi. This is my second attempt at posting; let's hope it works!! I am hoping that someone out there might have info on the Kirk of Rowe and/or Catherine and/or Donald. I believe that they were married at Kirk of Rowe circa. 1800. After marrying they lived on a farm near Dumbarton. They immigrated to North Carolina in 1807. Catherine was from Roseneath, Argyll. But isn't there a Roseneath Parish in Dunbartonshire? I don't know if the Kirk of Rowe is a fiction or a fact. Can you help? My heartfelt thanks! Amy
Hi, I notice that a lot of queries don't show what names you may be researching or have information on to share. Could everyone put your surnames into the signature of your emails (I know how to do this only on eudora light) so they can be scanned if one is not interested in your subject line? just a thought.
