Hello, My name is Kathy Garner and I live in B.C., Canada. I am new to this list. Many years ago, I purchased an old photograph from an antique store. It is a picture of the employees of the Lennoxmill Print Works dated 1909. Obviously, it's a commemorative photo listing the years of service these 12 employees have worked - one having put in 72 years! In any case, it lists their full names. They are as follows: Alex MC INTYRE John HUNTER R. M. MC LINTOCK Wm. MOORE Geo. MC KAY Jerry MORRISON Jas. BRITTON Jessie MC INTYRE Jas. KINCAID Andw. ROBERTSON Eliz. BROWN Maggie MC INTYRE I've had this long enough and wonder if someone might have had an ancestor who worked at the Lennoxmill Print Works. I'd be happy to pass this photo along to a descendant. Thank You, Kathy Garner http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Garden/2238/ GARNER & Variants WebRing

I'm trying to find links to my gg-grandmother, Margaret Bryce, b. abt. 1813 allegedly in Iona, d. 14 July 1891 in Elgin, Quebec, Canada. Thanks! Jim Loudon jloudon@hotmail.com http://www.loudon.org
Posted on: Shire of Dunbarton, Scotland Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Scotland/Dunbarton/683 Surname: Loudon, Bryce ------------------------- Hi Helen. Thanks for taking the time to post a reply. >From your dates, it would appear that Agnes and William Loudoun were contemporaries of "my" Robert Loudon and Margaret Bryce. Interesting that family legend has the name of Robert Loudon's father as William, and also has him (William) disappearing on Saint Helena Island shortly before Napoleon's death there. I need to do more research to try to establish the Saint Helena events. Thanks again! Jim Loudon jloudon@hotmail.com http://www.loudon.org

Posted on: Shire of Dunbarton, Scotland Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Scotland/Dunbarton/679 Surname: Loudoun ------------------------- I'm not sure if this will tie in with your search, but I have a photo of a headstone of an Agnes Loudoun from the Old Kilpatrick churchyard in Dunbartonshire, Scotland. It's a very old stone, but reads: AGNES LOUDOUN, IN MEMORY OF HER HUSBAND, WILLIAM PAUL, who died July 4, 1862, aged 62 years. I've just started researching this line as I've found this connectin with the Paul family (my main search). If I find more, I'll post. Helen

Posted on: Shire of Dunbarton, Scotland Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/Scotland/Dunbarton/677 Surname: McKinlay, M'Kinlay, Mackinlay ------------------------- Dear June, How positively exciting that you are related to Dot! She was so kind to share her Rowatt-McKinlay family history with me to post on the Clann McKinlay Web Page. The next most exciting thing is that a Bill Mackinlay from NSW has just provided me with four decades of Mackinlay Gathering documents, including genealogical documentation, of all of the Australian Mackinlays who descended from a George Mackinlay and Maragaret Miller, married in Canongate, Edinburgh, in 1804. They sailed for Sydney, NSW in 1838. Much work to do with all this! BTW, I share your frustration with the McKinlay research - it seems like lots of dead-ends. It is the reason that I feel so strongly that networking and posting as many McKinlay/Mackinlay heritages as possible on the Clann McKinlay Web Page will provide potential connections that can be followed up by interested inquirers. I've searched the net directories for Jason without knowing exactly where he might be. I have written to a Jason D. Keller in another town in Maryland (our Jason originally was living in Cockeysville, MD) and the news is mixed: no letter returned by the Post Office, but no response as yet either. Hopefully, I will hear something soon and will let you and Dot know. Funny thing is, I know and have recently spoken to one of the later descendants in Jason's tree - a Jack Fugate, optometrist here in Columbus. He has never heard of Jason, however. Thanks again for keeping in touch - if I can ever be of help to you , please let me know. Mr. Pearson of the Clan Colquhoun Society UK is working on the East Kilpatrick parish inscriptions, but there is a big AGM this time of year, so his inscriptions projects have been slowed by that.
