I have been hunting for an Alexander who married Catherine MacFaden in 1813. They were married in Glassary, Argyll, which is apparently not far from Dunbartonshire. I find a lot of my family hopping about from one of these areas to the other. I dont know when Alex was born but it would seem to be the right time frame that he could be your Alexander as well.

If the date and age at death on Jenett's headstone is correct, she would have been about 14 years old when married, which is about the only factor keeping me from making a categorical statement that this is the same couple buried in the "Cumbernauld corner" of the Elgin, Quebec cemetery. Hope this helps... Jim Loudon jloudon@hotmail.com http://www.loudon.org
