    3. Hello Zaylah, Checking Family Search reveals several Eustace DUNBARs, but I couldn't locate a mother with MARIN as a maiden name. Near-misses found were Edith Caroline MARALES, Edith Caroline MANAHAN and Edith MARCHAN. The husband for all three was shown as Robert DUNBAR, so I suggest that the three Ediths are the same person - but none of this appears to relevant to your search. Regretfully, I don't have time to investigate further - at present I'm fully committed to updating families from UK census data. Regarding your "...I am trying to find my husband's sister so I may piece together a better history..." this would be a great starting point. When starting a family history the usual advice is the start from yourself, then your nearest relatives and work backwards in time. Record *everything *- a family fable *may* contain a grain of truth. Beware of 'experts' and be especially careful of internet data. I don't know what Jamaican records are available and what they contain, but for your nearest and dearest, check birth, marriage and death certificates. Gravestones too; dates may not agree precisely - but note them all. Keep track of your progress with a Pedigree Chart in which you note basic details of yourself, your parents, your grandparents and so on. If you want a blank chart, email me and I will send you one - alternatively you could find one on the web. Check the internet for Jamaican forums. The USA-based family history society Clan Dunbar Inc. may be able to help - 'google' and you will find them. When you have assembled a family line it may be advantageous to get male members to take DNA tests - I would suggest surfing for the Dunbar DNA project for information on this type of research. If you get more information on the Scottish connections, please get back to me - I may be able to offer further help. Kind regards - and good hunting! Pat -- *Patrick R. L.
