Author: domenicleone Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dunbar/1227/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm looking for information regarding Elizabeth, who was the wife of Amos Dunbar (b. 1764 in Cornwall NY, d. 1855 in Butler PA)). The information I have found about her is conflicting, with her birth place listed as either the US, Ireland, or Germany. She is also often identified as Elizabeth Loos, who was born in Germany in 1766, married in Cumberland Co PA in 1766 and died in Butler PA in 1850. This, however, doesn't seem to jibe with reliable information we have on Amos' residence at the time of her marriage, nor does her death certificate list her as "Dunbar".
