We believe that his family lived in Cumberland Couny, followed by some residence in Chester County (Philadelphia area), PA until 1818 where he lived in Columbia, Lancaster County, PA, for the remainder of his life. I am a direct descendant of Thomas, and his son Robert S. Dunbar, and forward. The family remained in Columbia until my father left in 1940. I cannot find ANY information on the father or mother of Thomas. There is a sister mentioned in his obituary of 1880, with no name given. Thomas married Isabelle Clark in Cumberland County in 1819, and Elizabeth Henage in Columbia in 1825. I have a lot of information on the Dunbars in and around Carlisle, PA, where potentially any certain number of them could be Thomas' father/mother, but no proof of any kind to substantiate who that would be.
