Claudius as a given name for a Scottish-born Dunbar is unusual. My Dunbar database (the result of over 20 years reseach)contains only one - could this be the link to Jamaica? The family I have is - Parents Robert DUNBAR & Euphan LYON, children Claudius born 27 September 1761 & Alexander 30 June 1763, both born in North Leith, Midlothian, Scotland. I have watched this thread with great interest and hope it continues and we are able to stitch together what at present are several loose ends.
