I know that most people have listed William Dunbar as the father and that is a possibility. I have recently learned through talking with Clan Dunbar and researching a book called "Colonial Families of Maryland Bound and Determined to Succeed" that there is another possibility. That the John Dunbar who died in 1709 in MD may have been John Dunbarr (son of John Dunbarr of Glascow, Scotland) who arrived as an indentured apprentice to a tailor in Maryland in 1684 at the age of 22. Has anyone found any "proof" of the connection usually assumed between William and John Dunbar? So far I have not found any "proof" for either of the possible father's for John Dunbar and I would be so appreciative of any help anyone can give me on this. It is a brickwall that is driving me nuts. Thank you Shirley Smith candy50lady@yahho.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
