Campbell came up in a BLM land patent search I did for Nelson. It is based on a 1855 act of Congress giving land to war veterans. The Warrantee is Josiah Dunbar, private in the Revolutionary War, with the Patentees being Isaac N Campbell and Martha Dunbar aka Patty Dunbar. Josiah Dunbar was dead well before 1860. His wife received the land, evidently, or one of her heirs, based on Josiah's war service. Does anyone know which Dunbar lived in Shawnee Co., Kansas & ended up selling that land to Isaac N Campbell?
