Author: KBarnes1958 Surnames: DUNBAR, DOYLE, BARTZ, ANGST, SCHMIDT Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.dunbar/1107/mb.ashx Message Board Post: As a hobby I rescued old photos that have identification on them. The photo that started it all is identified as Kenneth DUNBAR. He's dressed in an infantry uniform. The photo is sepia tone (the browns) so it's kind of hard to determine the color of the uniform. I believe that his shirt and tie are khaki. This is an 8x10. Written on the back is: Kenneth DUNBAR about 1946. There's a photographers stamp on the back also that says, "This negative No. 76754 on file at PO Box 1749 Charlotte, N.C. The other photo is a wallet size snap shot. Written around the edge of it is: Doyle, Dunbar, Schmidt, Bartz, Agnst. Camp in England. The five men are posing as if they are stacked one on top of the other. Written again on the back are the last names of the men and "Taken in Camp". Then there is an Army Examiner stamp also and a number, 39 772. I picked these up because I believe that there is family somewhere who might like to have this treasure. After all he probably went through, it didn't need to end up in a box in an antique shop in St. Johns, Michigan. Contact me at: digginroots@yahoo.com for details if you'd like to obtain it, or if you can point me in the direction of the family he or any of the other men would belong to.
