He didin't marry Therese Fluery d'Eschambault until 1764. Welles states that the three brothers(15,13 & 10) left for Hyde Park, N.Y. about 1750. Not likely on their own. With their mother perhaps? William remained in Canada wth the British army until his death in 1788. I'm descended through Joseph/Joseph Jr., who went to Digby, Nova Scotia (Loyalist) about 1780.
