Dunbar, 81 year-old retired electrical contractor, died of infirmities of age at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at Firmin Desloge Hospital. Mr. Dunbar, who lived at 420 South Meramec st., Clayton, was a native of Hamilton, Canada. He came to St. Louis as a young man and was a resident of the area for 56 years. He retired about eight years ago. Funeral services and burial will be in Rochester, N.Y. Mr. Dunbar id sdurvived by his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Leo Williams and Mrs. Charles Graham. My grandmother was Wilma and they were married in Miami Dade County. As I understand my grandfathers mother was a full blooded Cherokee Indian. I spring forth from Keziah Dunbar Russell. Keziah b. Oct. l7th l814 (my great-great grandmother m. Ralph Russell, son of Jonathan Russell. She and Ralph had l4 children. She and her husband as well as many of these children are all buried at North Creek, New York. Their daughter Sophia married Hugh Roblee. For awhile Appollos was in Minerva, New York. I can tell you out of 250 possible DNA matches not one has MY last name of Barr, but there are 2 close matches to people with the last name or Dunbar.
