I was just on the message boards, emailing another person about my mother's side of the family, when your message came in. Well, it seems to go like this - Albert Dunbar Sinclair and Elizabeth Baird had a relationship (she was 5 years older) He was only 21 and had a girlfriend (Sarah Dowling) A child was conceived, My Great Grandmother, Eva Mary Jane Sinclair. I have her birth certificate copy(she was born 1st june 1873) and it has all the particulars and also the fact that they 'married' in St. Saviours church, Goulburn on the 1st of September, 1872. I am going to scan it and send to Jo and you too if you like, just as soon as I get my scanner fixed. It may have been made up, but it's hard to say as they all lived down that near Goulburn, NSW. Yes, Jo and I have been in contact for a few weeks on and off. She seems great and interested in the Trees too. We have exchanged some information. She also put me in ouch with my Aunt who I haven't seen for about 38 years! Maybe we can exchange info too, that would be great! Keep in Touch and Take Care Kerry Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am not a descendant of Albert Dunbar Sinclair as she is, but of his older brother George Sinclair. I always assumed that Elizabeth Beard must have died as Albert married Sarah within a year of his first marriage. Did they divorce? The Sinclairs were supposedly originally Scottish (ie in the 1600s) but went to Ireland, perhaps for the Williamite war. They settled in Galway and eventually Samuel and Rebecca (nee Dunbar)Sinclair came to Australia and settled in the Shoalhaven district. Albert Dunbar Sinclair is my Great Great Grandfather. He married (albeit briefly) Elizabeth Beard. They had a child, Eva Mary Jane Sinclair - My great Grandmother. Albert left her and then married Sarah Dowling and had 10 more children. You are related to his son, Albert, I think. I want to know more about my Sinclair roots. Were they originally Scottish ? It would make sense, as the first scottish Sinclairs came to live in Ireland in the 1600s. please if you have any information, I would be grateful and maybe we could share what we know. After all we ARE related! Please email me back if you can Kerry (Western Australia, formerly from Sydney NSW) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm pretty sure your line is pretty distance from mine (my David Jr. is in Maine) but would still be interested. Do you have dates for your David?
