Hi, Lily - I can't answer your question myself, but have sent the query on to two friends in Scotland, one with the Traditional Music and Song Association (TMSA) and one who is the traditional music coordinator for the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Assoc. in Dumfries, both of whom I will see within the next three weeks. I have asked that if they don't have an answer themselves, to forward the query on to folks who might have the information. So let's hope someone is up on their fiddle makers in D&G, and they'll have an answer for you shortly.
