    3. Dear All At the risk of being tedious, please add me to the company of those who have been experiencing difficulties with this otherwise first-=class site. It seems to have started about a month ago. The fact that it's often 'down'in the evening, but available again the next day (and that if it goes down on Friday it stays down all weekend) leads one to suppose that there's some problem which needs regular attention from the Council's IT Team. I would imagine that there are some 'local' listers who might be in a better position to bring these problems to the Council's attention than those of us who live in Yorkshire or Florida! I must say, it was quite disheartening a couple of weeks ago to come back from Dumfries and find that I couldn't easily follow up leads I'd found in the excellent Ewart Library. 3. Thanks to all who responded and confirmed that I was not the only one who had trouble reaching the site. The outages do seem to occur on weekends, and I have to also realize the time difference, so often it may be down at night in the U.K. If they are redesigning or updating the site, I suppose it is understandable. I check from time to time, and this morning (U.S. time) I was able to get through. Kathy Orlando, Florida

    3. I think it would be much more effective if complaints (combined with the deserved praise of the site) were from people all over the world, rather than just a few locals. Let the Council know how important this site is and how much you all value it.
