Hello listers, I am trying to find some more information on the above James FARISH. According to his death certificate, he was born about 1818, the son of Robert FARISH and Elizabeth TURNER. The birth certificate of his son, Peter, for which James was the informant, gives James' birthplace as Kirkmahoe, Dumfrieshire. In 1848, James married Helen Leitch ANDERSON, in the Parish of Largs, County of Ayr. (I have a copy of the OPR entry for this marriage.)
