I posed your question to Peter Stubbs, who runs the www.edinphoto.org.uk website. He writes: Hi Dan: 1. Robert Wilson was listed in the trade directories as being a photographer in Dumfries from 1871 until 1897. So far as I know, his address (121 High Street) was only given once. That was in 1878, but he may well have been at that address throughout. 2. I don't have any record of any photographer named J Richmond, Brook Street, off Queen's Place, thought there was a John Sillars Richmond, photographer, at Bank Street, Galashiels in 1907. Best wishes: - Peter. ______________________________________________________________ From Peter and/or Carol Stubbs, Edinburgh - web site <http://www.edinphoto.org.uk>www.edinphoto.org.<http://www.edinphoto.org.uk>uk ______________________________________________________________ At 07:11 PM 11/02/2004 +0000, Jo Brown wrote: >Does anyone have knowledge of when the following Dumfries photographers >were in business? > >Robert Wilson, 121 High Street >J.
