Hello ALL, I am no expert on Scottish History, but I have read some of the books on the IRVINGS, and there are many of them, and they give the origin of the Irvings as the West coast of Spain.from where they moved to the East coast of Ireland and then across to the West coast of Scotland and the Scots called them "ERINEINE'S". From this name has come the many spellings of Ervin/Erwin/Irvin, etc.etc.. Betty Irving in Australia.
