Robert Johnston(e), b. circa 1734 in Kirkmichael, Dumfries and his wife Janet Burnet, b. circa 1738 in Kirkmichael, Dumfries. Also, his son William Johnston, b. circa 1760 in Kirkmichael, Dumfries and his wife Jane Glendinning, b. circa 1762 in Hexham, Northumberland, England.
