Robert Lorimer, b. abt 1830/31 in Kirkconnel Parish to William Lorimer and Jean Wightman. Robert married Margaret Douglas about 1849. Robert was a Draper in Totnes, County of Devon, England until he retired. He died residing at Springbank, Penpont, County of Dumfries, 6 Nov, 1895. Robert and Margaret had three children, Robert Cowan Lorimer, b.5 June 1850 at Step Ends, Penpont, County of Dumfries, William b. abt 1855 at Totnes, County of Devon, England, Jane or Jeannie b. abt 1859 also at Totnes. Robert C. Lorimer continued on with his fathers business in Totnes, he married Susan Garret and they had four children there. Hugh, Kenneth, Muriel, and Olive. Hugh d. 1918 in France, Kenneth also died in 1918. I have no further information about William Jane married Samuel Varder after 1881 and they had three children, Samuel Lorimer Varder, Margaret Varder and Robert Varder. I am looking for information about the spouses and descendants of my Lorimer line, specifically Margaret Douglas, Susan Garret and Samuel Varder.
