    1. Lookup Please - 1841 Census Dumfriesshire - HENDERSON
    2. B.Henderson
    3. Folks, Would SKS please look up in the Dumfriesshire 1841 Census - HENDERSON. I know this is a problem because HENDERSON is a common name. I am trying to figure if the whole family migrated to Canada or just my GGGGF. I KNOW I have an GGGGF immigrant into Canada, buried in Perth County, Ontario. He is John HENDERSON, born [1815] Dumfriesshire, SCT. According to the Old Parish Records he was the son of Thomas HENDERSON and Janet CURRIE and was born in Lockmaben. There were several other children including one with the name of John, born 1814, who died as an infant. The folks likely to be alive at 1841 census are... Generation 1 -- GGGGGF Thomas's parents - Alexander HENDERSON bc1750 and mother Grace FERGUSON bc1750. Janet's parents - William CURRIE and Jean THOMPSON (unknown birth or death) Generation 2 -- GGGGF Thomas HENDERSON (1776 - 1847) and wife Janet CURRIE (1774-1859) both born and died in Lockmaben. Generation 3 -- GGGF Grace b1802, Jean b1804, Janet b1805, Mary b1808, Elizabeth b 1810, Helen b1811, Alexander b1814, [John b1814 infant death], John b1815 [my guy] NOW - I am trying to figure if the whole family migrated to Canada in 1815 to 1840 period. In other words did John strike out his own when he was 20 or so when so many young folks left SCT or did the whole family come to Canada. John was married in Gault in 1841 to Janet THOMPSON according to her obit in 1907. What I need is to see is if any of these folks are in Dumfriesshire in 1841. Regards, Brad Henderson
