Looking back at "Kirkconnel, A Pictorial History" Pg 56 mentions children taking train to Rood Fair in Dumfries. Is this Fair still held and when. Book also mentions Co-operative Gala days held by Ancient Shepherds, the Rechabites, the Anderson Clubs etc. Does this bring back any memories? Ron
