    3. Hello Christine, Thanks for your message. Another lister also pointed out these two places earlier in the week, but unfortunately neither is right. Mine is defiinitely in the parish of Canonbie, which is a few miles south of Langholm on the A7. The location is listed on the Canonbie parish registers, and not just for my RAE family, but for other surnames as well - so it was definitely somewhere very close to Canonbie. Thanks for the suggestions though!
