Hi All, Begging for help again! I am trying to break the most stubborn of walls down. My Captain John Scott who I have no birth or death records for he only appears in person on the 1841 census and he died between 1851 and 1861. He was associated with the Tyrall ship/boat as per a marriage posting in a newspaper in 1823. Now the only new info I have is on his son's marriage reg in 1861 he is listed as John Scott Seaman Coasting Trader (Deceased). I persume this means his boat traded along the shore - would that be coal? Other records list him as "Master Seaman". How can I find out more? Thanks in advance, Pam
