Hello again Kay, (I'm copying this result to the List in case others have an interest in this MI.) Here is the MI you were looking for: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gretna Graveyard (surved by Shannon/Gilchrist in the 1960) William son of Richard Stephenson of Rigg who died 16th September, 1792 aged 4 years And John his son who died at Liverpool 26th November, 1816 age 31 years And Thomas his son who died in Jamaica 3rd October, 1818 age 21 years And above Richard Stephenson who died at Lynn 2nd November, 1819 age 66 years. And Alexander his son who died in Jamaica 22nd June, 1826 age 21 years And George his son who died Browhouse 1st April, 1830 age 33 years And James Stephenson his son who died at Birmingham 29th April 1834 age 41 years And William his son who died in Jamaica 18th June, 1835 age 40 years And Agnes Armstrong his wife who died at Gretna 25th July 1846 age 83. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note: Your Stevenson is actually STEPHENSON. I checked the DGFHS database and found only 4 other STEPHENSON MIs. STEVENSON is by far the more usual variation, there are 56 of them scattered all over D&G. Does anyone on the list have a copy or access to this document that could look up my family. The name is Stevenson and the father's name is Richard the wife Agnes and I understand others of the family are also recorded on the MI. I would love to find out what it says and would be grateful if anyone could help with this. I had a look at the churchyard site but Gretna is not included. Regards Kay.
