Hi Helen, I have had a look in my booklets of Dumfries, township and the surrounding area and can't fin your Archibald, when you found him in 1851. Which Parish was he in? He may have his wife Catherine with him, and you never know there may be others? I have got the Moffat town, and the Moffat land, but he's not in there. He is in Dumfries in 1851 with Catherine and his nephew Richardson McKemy b England. Archibald was born St Cuthbert's, Edinburgh. 1871 he is near Liverpool, and dies at the same address in 1876. His wife Catherine was born circa 1809 Beverley, Yorkshire. Any help would be much appreciated.
