Hi list, I have a query regarding the archives of the Dumfries Kirk Session which hopefully someone can help me with. I fed in the name of one of my ancestors,Martha Carruthers,and up popped the info that 'James Carruthers admitted he was the father of her child' and noted the 'illegitimacy'. An Archive Ref:CH2/537/12 is given and advice that it contains 2 pages. Is it possible to obtain a copy of this information over the net or via normal post? Since I am stuck out in Australia it is impossible for me to visit in person but I would very much like to peruse the info which may or may not concern my ancestors. I saw that paid research is available from the libraries but am not sure whether this comes under that category. Ian Ritchie
