Hello Malcolm I have an Edward Paterson who married my gggaunt Isabella Dalziel on July 24,1847 in Urr.The marriage was allso registered in Dumfries on July 25,1847.It is said that Edward was a grocer?They had 2 children John and Jane in Kirkpatrick Durhamm,KKD.I have no records but it is said that Peter Paterson who is said to be the father of Edward married Jane Dalziel a younger sister of Isabella???
