    3. Hi Richard! Sorry to be slow on the uptake - my computer has been down. My JOHNSTONE was Martha, daughter of Thomas Johnstone, farmer, and Christian Morton born 22 March 1815, christened 8 April 1815. Others in the family were Catherine & Mary (twins), born 22 April 1813, christened 29 April 1813; Margaret born 22 March 1815, christened 8 April 1815; Thomas born 30 April 1819, christened 17 August 1819. All christened at First Longtown Presbyterian Chapel (Cumberland). In 1813 I have Thomas farming at Ridge Head, Heathers Gill - and a native of Kirkandrews-on-Esk. In 1815 I've noted him as from Righead (sic). By 1817 he's tenant at Carwinlay Mill. All this is actually just in Cumberland, except that Christian Morton was a native of Canonbie, which is just in Dumfries & Galloway. Any use to you - or anybody else?
