Tom Welch kindly welcomed me to the list and suggested introducing myself asap. My great-greatgrandparents, James and Jane (Thompson) Fisher left Wanlochead or Leadhills in about 1855. They arrived in Canada on their way to the States (Michigan) with their four children, James, Jennie, Jean and William. I have no information about either James' or Jane's parents and would like to find more. I do have information from the personnel records of the Calumet and Hecla (Michigan)mining company. This might be helpful for anyone looking for relatives who were born in Wanlochead or Leadhills and worked for C&H from 1865 to 1914. I would be happy to look up any names and forward the information.
