    1. Re: [D-G LIST] Place Names for the British Isles 1800-1950
    2. David, Did you forward this list to the D&G in error, or are you actually asking Listers to help you determine exactly where these places are located in England and Scotland? Why I'm asking is that the beginning sentence implies that you directed it to an individual. Most all of these locations can be found by going to either: _www.streetmap.co.uk_ (http://www.streetmap.co.uk) or _www.multimap.com/_ (http://www.multimap.com/) and typing in the place name. Specific streets can be found also via these sites. Churches? - probably not. For those, I would use _www.Google.com_ (http://www.Google.com) and give it a go there. I've had very good luck in that regard. Good Hunting! Yours aye, John Jardine Cincinnati, Ohio USA D&G FHS Member #1918 Alba mo dhuthaich gu deireadh mo la! (Scotland my homeland forever!)
